LYNDEL MILLER STYLIST
aboutME
Welcome to my website. I'm a multi-disciplinary stylist, based in Brisbane.
I started in food. I ran many a kitchen, cooked in leading health retreats, set up cafes and restaurants for others, waited tables, worked front of house, in live music venues whilst studying Graphic Design. I then took a Sales, Marketing and Visual Merchandising Management position with a leading health company. I studied and graduated from human health sciences and then opened my own clinic. Later I returned to the arts and I studied interior design which lead me to design units with my husband and my two small children. Life was full.
When the children started school, I found an American book on Photo Styling... or it found me. I gave myself one year to see if I could change careers and started, it immediately felt so natural. Everything happened really quickly. Within two years I was working commercially on large campaigns and had published my first cookbook. I went on to publish another, and produced and styled books for publishing houses. I added all my skills to this realm. Interiors, turned to editorial and then set dressing. Recipe development turned editorial to commercial food styling. A natural interest already existed with props as did wardrobe with my sewing background. Creative direction and sales and marketing came natural. I soon fell into feature films.
I delight in delivering all styling needs from advertising, through to web content, print media, TVC's film and screen media. I have well over a decade of full-time freelance styling and creative direction experience. I love my work as a food stylist, interior, product, prop stylist and wardrobe stylist.
I bring a diverse set of skills, knowledge and experience to the table with a background that spans commercial cookery, recipe development, brand consultation, natural medicine, art, interior design, development, graphic design, radio, production,VM and sales and marketing management.
I have a heightened conceptual grasp of brand development, composition and an in-depth understanding of the creative and production processes. I like to consistently create visual narratives in perfect alignment with my clients’ visions. I am calm and focused on set, equally at home working one-on-one with clients or as part of a dynamic team and enjoy working alongside other leading creatives and production and advertising agencies. You can expect well-crafted, engaging, and most importantly, effective visual imagery when you work with me. I give the work 100 percent, because the work matters.
My food, product and interiors work has been published in many online and print magazines including Real Living, Home Beautiful, Pure Green, New Idea, The Simple Things, Slow Magazine, The Design Files, Graziher and Abode.
I have an extensive client history, some I have worked with my entire career, ranging from small business to established leading brands such as Village Roadshow, SeaWorld, Wet'n'Wild, MovieWorld, Outback Spectacular, Sanitarium, Stahmanns, Chobani, Danone, Lenards Chicken, Steggles, Robins Kitchen, Riveria Yachts, Clarendon Homes, Best and Less, Murdoch Books, ARE Media, Bauer Media, Crystal Bay Prawns, Hoodlum Film Productions, Lionsgate China, Bulla Dairy, QPAC, Accor, Brisbane News, Fonterra Hong Kong and Messermeister USA
